Wait Until the Orgy is Over

The Lantern Vol.30

In most, if not all of my previous posts, I reflect back to the current sexual abuse crisis in the church.

I do this because I see many of our current social and economic problems stemming from this unresolved issue.

This is not a past or previous crisis but a current one. The Pennsylvania Grand Juries brought to light the size of the problem in respect to child abuse, but never touched the more widespread cases of priestly immorality including satanic acts. What it did do was mobilize many other catholic laity to try and address the problem. Throughout the world child abuse cases were reported and the laity had a real glimpse into part of the problem.

The Coronavirus then took center stage and all those horror stories were put on the back burner.

Nothing was ever done to correct the problem. We never got to ask how the Dallas Charter has failed so miserably. How countless dioceses have continued to harbor perverted priests yet received passing audits. We never got to question why the Charters failings were not questioned when Cardinal McCarrick, a reported child molester and perverted cleric was a critical influence in its development.

A document to stop child molestation, created by child molesters, just doesn't seem to work, hmmmm.

I have worked to reveal and hopefully curtail and remedy a problem of priestly infidelity that permeates our church. This has been a struggle that now spans two decades of my life, yet I will never stop. Why? Because I love Christ’s church and I understand its Sacraments and life giving graces. I recently explained to friends that it is like getting food poisoning at a restaurant and then deciding to never eat again. The response would be more deadly than the poisoning.

One of the results of my studies and research revealed that child molesters were often replaced in parishes by men of equally low character. If not another child molester then someone who usually owed their bishop a favor. Someone who would help squelch any further reports or incidences from the parish. It becomes a systematic pattern of blackmail and deception.

I never lose hope because unfortunately these men never stop. No matter what may be the story of the day a cleric child molester and perverted priest will grab the headlines. They will never stop because there is little reason too. So as the Bishops sit by and play the same games they have played for decades, more and more victims will come forward. That is because the laity are now aware of what the wolves in sheeps clothing are capable of.

Recently, on September 30th of this year, a Louisiana Pearl River priest was arrested for having an orgy on the church altar after hours. A lay person saw lights on in the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church and called police.e More

The witness says the church’s pastor, Travis Clark, was allegedly half-naked on top the altar with two women scantly dressed using sex toys. Apparently lights and cameras were set up to record the incident of all three having sex together.

The witness took a cell phone video of the altar-orgy and called the police. The priest was arrested for public obscenity.

It is very hard for me and I hope you, to believe that a priest or anyone had arrived at such a perverted state, without any other inappropriate situations ever being reported.

Now, none of this surprises me because Clark was assigned as a chaplain at Pope John Paul II High School.

Why was he assigned there? He was replacing Reverend Pat Wattigny who New Orleans Archbishop Gregory Aymond removed because of accusations he sexually abused a minor in 2013.

Rev. Pat Wattigny was the previous chaplain at Pope John Paul II High School where he was forced to resign because of texts to students and reportedly he later admitted sexually abusing a student.

Does this pattern sound familiar? Now, Archbishop Gregory has settled many other cases of abuse. The Archdiocese of New Orleans paid a settlement to an abuse victim who claimed a veteran priest repeatedly molested him as a teenager in the mid-1980s at Notre Dame Seminary. Guess what, Archbishop Gregory Aymond held a high-ranking post there at that time and the victim believed he could have stopped the abuse. Archbishop Gregory denies he knew anything. Yet, here is another cleric who is accused of hiding abuse being elevated to bishop in a diocese with vast amounts of child abuse. Does this pattern sound familiar?

After the Bishops got caught with the Boston abuse scandal they concocted the now failed Dallas Charter. Twenty years and several Grand Juries later, abuse cases are reported all over the United States and nothing is done. We have systematic abuse and coverup spanning the last two decades after we had supposedly fixed the problem. Cardinal McCarrick was removed two years ago and his violations of God’s law continue to be revealed, yet we hear nothing.

My brothers and sisters in Christ , if we love our Church we must rise up. This pattern will never be broken until we do something. Catholics need to demand new Bishops, we should protest Chancery offices and every Bishops Conference. We have perverted Cardinals Bishops and Priests who are never going to fix the problem. If it's up to them we will have to wait till the orgy is over.
