Time to pay the piper

In a society like ours where we constantly lie to each other, sooner or later we pay the price.

I have not been a fan of our war with Russia. Yes, we are at war with Russia. Ukraine was attacked and the United States decided to enter the war. Ok, let me be specific, “a Proxy war.”

That is the correct term we now use when someone funds other people to attack on their behalf.

It is commonly used now that Iran has been launching attacks on our military from Syria and they have helped fund the Hammas invasion of Israel.

This is unlike other engagements in the past where countries would fight and America or some other country would sell them arms and munitions. We are just giving them weapons of war. Your tax dollars are being used to pay Ukranians to kill Russians. It is a convenient war where we do not get our hands dirty, we just pay people to kill other people.

We are citizens of the United States so whatever our leaders decide to do we also bear responsibility.

This is why I have little sympathy for the people of Palestine. Their leaders attacked and declared war on Israel. Israel has the right to attack and defeat the enemy, which is Palestine.

If I were Israel I would take over the country, find every tunnel and collapse it before I would leave. We try to separate the people of Palestine from Hammas' leadership. Sorry, the people supported Hammas. They obviously participated or watched as Hammas built tunnels and launched missiles from their backyards.

Of course I care about innocent civilians. In this situation I recommend they LEAVE. The Gaza strip is about 25 miles long by 8 miles wide. Israel has given plenty of warning. If I knew an army was going to start attacking and I had nothing to do with the war then I would leave. We are talking about 2 million people. We have a million people show up to a rally in Washington then leave.

But that is not what I wish to address. It is the mass demonstrations of our youth in colleges who are trying to justify the slaughtering of civilians at the start of this war.

Wars like anything are determined by public opinion. Things have changed in the last 50 years. Social media can influence public opinion in a matter of days or weeks. Our “news” outlets have proven themselves biased and unreliable. So the war in the Middle East is now more than ever an “infowar”. Hammas needs public opinion to be on their side. They want to murder hundreds of innocent people and just say, “stop” we are done. We killed some, you killed some, we are even.

Our colleges have become institutions of “lower learning.” Many of our children are educated to live in a world of lies. They forget their freedom to protest was purchased with the blood of their forefathers. It should not be taken lightly. Yet, that lesson will soon be taught. Our students are lobbying for Hammas, helping to turn public opinion against Israel. They are asking the “Piper” to play a song of rebellion.

This will only exacerbate the situation in the Middle East and these kids will pay the price.

Israel will not stop until they have destroyed Hammas and their network in Gaza. If public opinion portrays them as wrong then other countries will use this to justify entering the war.

If other countries enter the war (Iran, Syria, Jordan, and maybe Egypt) Israel will need help.

Israel is our ally and this will be World War III. Not the comfortable wars we like, where we sit back and spend money to kill people. We will have to get troops on the ground.

We are already at war with Russia and we will need to help Israel. If China sees an opportunity they will love to join in. Yes, my friends, a World War unlike any this generation has seen. We will see death in our homeland.

Our military is already significantly reduced from previous years when we fought limited conflicts. A World War means a draft.! All of these college idiots who were waving Palestinian flags might find themselves giving their lives for Israel. We have tolerated lying to ourselves and we have raised generations of spoiled children who love to riot and destroy with the freedoms they were given. Soon, I fear, their lack of forethought will help spur on a war no one will escape. It is said, people who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.

Soon I fear it will be the time to pay the piper.
